Hertz Pressure Values for AMPCO® 18

Design Guidance in the Absence of Measured Test Data

Hertz pressure values have not been formally tested for AMPCO® 18. However, based on available material knowledge, the computed Hertz pressure for AMPCO® 18 should not exceed 100 MPa. This value can be used as a conservative design reference when Hertz contact stress calculations are required for components made from this alloy.
