Heat Treating AMPCO® 18 to Achieve AMPCO® 18.23 Properties

When Standard Stock Can Be Used as the Starting Material

AMPCO® 18.23 is a heat-treated version of AMPCO® 18, based on the same alloy chemistry. This means that standard AMPCO® 18 material held in stock can be heat treated to achieve AMPCO® 18.23 properties.

This offers a practical advantage in situations where AMPCO® 18.23 is required but lead time or stock availability is a constraint.
