Coefficient of Friction and Direction of Lamination

The coefficient of friction for AMPCO® alloys does not vary with the direction of lamination. It is independent of rolling direction. The factors that influence friction coefficient are surface quality, lubrication conditions, sliding speed, contact pressure, and the material of the sliding counterpart. These variables should be the primary focus when evaluating friction performance for a specific application.
