A complete characterization of nickel aluminum bronze behavior under neutron irradiation is not available, as material response is dependent on factors including temperature, radiation dose, and exposure duration. End users should assess material suitability through fit-for-purpose testing under actual service conditions.

Available literature indicates that nickel aluminum bronzes, including AMPCO® M4 and AMPCO® 45, demonstrate high strength in both initial and irradiated states, and maintain satisfactory ductility after irradiation. On this basis, nickel aluminum bronzes have been used in irradiated environments, though final suitability remains the responsibility of the end user.
