Maximum Recommended Operating Temperatures for AMPCOLOY® Alloys

Temperature Limits Across the AMPCOLOY® Product Range

The following maximum operating temperatures apply to AMPCOLOY® alloys:

  • AMPCOLOY® 83: up to 300°C
  • AMPCOLOY® 944: up to 400°C
  • AMPCOLOY® 972: up to 500°C
  • All other AMPCOLOY® alloys: up to 450°C, for a maximum continuous duration of 4 hours. After 4 hours, the component must be allowed to cool down before thermal cycling resumes.

These limits should be taken into account during both the design phase and operational planning to ensure that material properties are maintained throughout the service life of the component.
