AMPCO® Alloy Recommendation for Guide Bushings and Collets on Titanium Parts

For guide bushing applications involving a sliding titanium counterpart, AMPCO® 22 or AMPCO® 25 are the recommended alloys, with the final selection depending on available stock dimensions. For collet applications where the elastic properties of the material need to be utilized in a clamping function against a titanium piece, AMPCO® M4 is the appropriate choice due to its superior elastic behavior. Lubrication should be provided in all cases.
